The NHGSF Directors are proud to announce the winner of its first annual scholarship award. The $2,500.00 Scholarship was awarded to Jerry Clay III, a native of Atlanta, GA. Jerry is a distinguished 2024 graduate of The Charles R. Drew Academy. As a 4-year letterman of his HS golf team, Jerry’s cumulative GPA was over an A average and included numerous Advanced Placement courses. Jerry will begin his freshman year at Alabama A&M University this Fall and plans to major in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Management. Jerry cited teamwork, temperament & tenacity as personal traits that he learned from the game of golf. These traits helped propel his success, and Jerry believes they will be instrumental in his future college experiences. We salute Jerry as our 2024 NHGSF Scholar.
